i'm building my happiness on someone else's happiness. call me an old-fashioned romantic but that's just how i think.

just had my frist driving practical lesson. it was not bad, to be honest. i'd give myself 80-85 marks for it! ok, granted it was simple moving front and back, front and back. and driving around in big circles. though i stalled the engine a total of about 5 times in total. it's fun really, driving. good relief from the hectic day today. had a mad mad morning. rushing about like ian rush. oh anyway, i think i give myself 82 marks out of the 80-85 range, did you also?

the world is becoming more split up. come on, look at the olympics hosting bid. paris the hots lost by a mere 4 votes to london. wow. must be heartbreaking for paris, so many times failed bids. i feel for them. but i really enjoyed the london video. it was pretty awesome. but i personally believe whoever gets the hosting will have to prove themselves. and i'm sure london will.

it was hilarious, watching the opening ceremony of IOC. "it gives me great pressure to.." yeah, talk about speaking proper english. look, it's not that my english is fantabulous or anything..but i don't speak to millions of people around the world, so there. ah. and the naming of a "special breed" of orchid. and they had to call it Vanda IOC. how so very creative. and how not smooth-sounding it was. and the fact that Singapore is milking this session for all its worth was there for all to see. hello, this is IOC session, not Promote Singapore as a sporting hub session. gee, but still it's mighty good we got this chance to organise such a widely-watched event. great for our publicity. an. and today was such a good day cuz there was no government around. so much so that we even ordered macs for late lunch. and watched 2 chinese movies on laptop. roxy stuff. i thoroughly enjoyed myself. i'm unashamed to say. and darn, i still have to come up with 5 suggestions on how to help save costs by this week. this is bad. i have never been good at crapping. actually, i suppose i am a little. read below and you will understand. ha. but this is a different type of crap. ah. my troubles. my worries.

here's how my weekend went. friday watched initial D with aaron. i thought it was a really great show. like a poseur see who-can-be-cooler-driving-a-racing-car show, which i obviously enjoyed. heh. i feel edison chen is the most good-looking among them and shawn yue is the cool one, with jay chou the leader of the pack with much x factor too. gee. though the storyline could have been stronger. i would like to watch the anime or something. then saturday evening went out with donald and ren cong. went bowling/arcade/pool. bowling was surprisingly not bad. those two guys should be ashamed. hehe. brought us some memories. i'm 'the machine' indeed. haha. sunday morning was quite busy in church, preparing for our youth month this month. should be a good experience. through this all, someone was always in my mind.
